little boxes.

Kate and her friend demonstrated little boxes which we didn't have time to make but when I was home I made one to make sure I remembered what to do and then I couldn't stop making them.  I have to decorate the tops but here are a few I made.

My Son Dylan's Paintings

Many years ago before I took up painting my Son painted these.  Must run in the family as I know my Dad used to sketch and colour too.  Dylan's first one was a paint by numbers but others were from photos too.

Paintings

I took photographs of scenes I wanted to create in my paintings.  My first one is from the Lake District on a busy day.  I can't remember where I took the sun shining through the trees but it looked so effective at the time.

Haven't posted for ages as I am now the proud Grandma of three gorgeous children.  This is a prototype for a dress I'm making for my ten week old Granddaughter.  I haven't used a dress pattern since school days many years ago so I tried this one in just scrap material to see if I could do it.  It's for a six month old but I thought it might take me that long to perfect it!!! Lol.

My sewing projects

I made the following items, most of them at my sewing class with my tutor Jean Golby.

Lots of new stuff and old!

Here are some cards I made yesterday at Kate's Krafts Stampin Up.  I made the cards and then enhanced the envelopes too.

Kate helped me to make a diamond template using the triangle punch.  Then I chose random colours in Brights and Regals and Subtles and others which goes to prove that Stampin Up do a marvellous job of having all the colour range match to anything you do.  I copied the way Kate had used the diamond but also used one in a v shape too.  Then I ink stamped a design on them.  Then with the red I smudged the side so went on to sponge the outer square of the card with one of the lighter ink pads I'd used on the card.  Then I took the envelopes and repeated some item of the card on them.  Enjoy!
