Paintings done recently or updated.

The house is my Son's and Daughter in Law's and has been updated as they have had new windows in and repainted and moved trees etc.  The sun shining through the trees has been updated as there was the shadow of a tree without the tree - I have now added the tree!!

The sheep are from the Lake District and I actually captured them from our window in the cottage as it had begun to rain and the sheep had come up the banking to higher ground.

The town is Sheffield and its painted from outside John Lewis store at Christmas time but I must do one like this again as I really wanted to get the reflection of the lights on the pavement and don't think I achieved the right effect.

Thea was looking on at these swans when one lifted its wings and I captured it in the background while photographing my Grandaughter.

Mojo is back

Hi everyone,

Well here I am after such a long break and a physical one too as I did break my wrist last year!!  I have been inspired by reading Miss Beatrix's blog - its a WI member called Anna and her dog is called Miss Beatrix.  She is enthusiastic and happy and creative and blogs about her lifestyle.  I guess I am missing writing and being creative for me though I do a lot for other groups but cutting out 30 or 40 of the same stuff is not as creative as I want to be.

I have been lazy lately but that is about to change and watch my space!  I want to carry on with my paintings, take up sewing again as I really made some good stuff with Jean Golby - must do it again.  I want to take up crochet once more and maybe a little knitting and embroidery and my loved parchment craft and all the other crafts I've neglected for a while.

My other interests are stamps - did I say that?!  I collected so many and never catalogue them!  I love ancestry and I would love to write a book.  I have so many ideas - and there is also my Dad's letters about his soldier days to write.  There are so many ideas to pass on to my three beautiful Grandchildren too.  I have done photo books for them.

You know what I must do now though?  Put the tea on for my Hubby who has been working all day and vacuum all the cat hairs up - I have two cats Duffy and Cassie.

See you soon with some photos of my paintings.

I made the bag and the box at Kate's and Sara's Stampin Up classes and the owl is a parchment creation from a pattern.

Here are a few of my parchment cards.

These are two items I made at my sewing class - tutor Jean Golby.  She did a special Christmas makes class.

These are two paintings I made recently using Acrylics.  My first is the fair at Weston Park, Sheffield and it shows Zsuzsi and Neo on the Carousel.

My second is a row of deck chairs I saw in Weymouth on holiday.  You have to pay to sit on the deck chairs and people were using the free benches instead!!

This is what I made for my Son's birthday - its using Stampin Up stamps.  Matthew is into biking and takes the children on his bike so thought this was appropriate and I used the houses from the Christmas catalogue in the background and the trees are Christmas trees but I put a few autumn leaves on them and on the floor!!
